The last week of September was busy. Dad's birthday was in the middle of the week, and then Oktoberfest was on that Saturday. We did something different for Dad's birthday- we tried a new craft! We made resin suncatchers in a class taught by the same lady who does the painting and wine parties. We each did one suncatcher. I'm pretty happy with my jellyfish!

We had dinner at Sunflower, the Thai/French/Japanese place we went to for Dad's birthday last year. It was even better this time.
Oktoberfest went well, but it rained most of the day. I wasn't feeling well, either. The food was good, the Lost Lederhosen performed again, and the craft table did good business. Katie and I were pretty busy. She was serving brats and pretzels, and I mostly sold crafts and did food runs for other volunteers.

Rapunzel came along this year again. She's so perfect for the little Gretel dress!

Sam and Devon came down for Mom's birthday dinner and to check out wedding venues. They still haven't set a date. Their engagement party is in two weeks! I can't wait. Its been so long since I've been to New York.
