Long post under the cut.
Katie's Rotary Club had another successful Great Wine Out. It wasn't quite as crowded as usual, but everyone had fun. There was live music, great food and wine, and games with prizes.

We had to hit the road early the next morning for New York! Our hotel was conveniently located. We just had to drive over the George Washington Bridge to get to Devon's godmother's apartment. The party was nice, and the view from the apartment was fantastic! We even went up on the roof. A few photos- the cake, Sam and Devon, the bridge and downtown Manhattan at night, Katie with the warning signs on the roof access door.

Katie and I spent the next morning at the Cloisters Museum and Gardens (part of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art). So much Medieval art, and more great views from a balcony. It was so calm there that I forgot I was in New York City! I have a ton of photos on Instagram, but here a few favorites.

We drove through Manhattan to get to Brooklyn. We had lunch with Sam, Devon, and our New York friends Susan and Chris. Lunch was at Pasta Louise, Sam and Devon's favorite. The food was wonderful.
A few more New York photos- We drove right past Freedom Tower to get to the Brooklyn tunnel! Pasta Louise in Brooklyn, and finally, Kavi at the Cloisters.

It was a fun but exhausting two days.
I did my usual party set up for Halloween, but I also had some new costumes for the dolls! My Life As had Wizard of Oz dolls and outfits this year. I dressed Jess as Dorothy and Joss as Glinda!

I had my two Halloween trees and the dolls set up around them. I even decorated my bedroom this year.

That's it for a while! I'll probably be going to Richmond and Williamsburg during the holiday season.
