Thirty years ago tonight, the series finale of Star Trek The Next Generation aired. I had just graduated from Colorado State University a couple of weeks before, and my family was about to move from Colorado to Virginia. We were in a hotel because we'd already moved out of the house. I was already sad about being done with school and saying goodbye to friends. I watched All Good Things on the night before I was leaving my home of ten years to face an uncertain future. It was a rough time for me.
I was happy that there would be movies with the Next Generation crew, plus Deep Space Nine was still on, and Voyager was coming soon. I just felt a little bit bad because so many things were ending for me all at once.
