April 19th is the 29th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. It's also the 31st anniversary of the Waco siege that led to the bombing.
Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre. I can't believe it's been that long. Those kids would have kids in high school or college by now. Some might have even become young grandparents. It's not just the length of time that I find unbelievable. It's the fact that Columbine isn't even in the top ten modern mass shootings in the U.S. anymore! It's been almost forgotten in a way, as there have been so many mass shootings with high death counts in 25 years. Las Vegas, The Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Sutherland Springs church, Sandy Hook, Uvalde, El Paso, Parkland, and of course, Virginia Tech,
which had its 17th anniversary last week. We've learned nothing. And nothing has changed.
Just having a bit of post surgery insomnia. The pain is a bit better. My appetite is coming back, and I was more active today. I really should be feeling better in another week.
