I'm in too much pain to do anything but sleep. I have a week's worth of painkillers at my disposal. They barely take the edge off. Most food still tastes like nothing, but my appetite is good. I've managed to eat small and regular meals. Italian ices and popsicles have been a lifesaver. My post surgery appointment is next Thursday. The staples will come out then. They're already starting to itch. My entire midsection is a mess of bruises and cuts. The scars are going to be hideous.
