An active shooter situation is happening on the Michigan State University campus. Three dead, five injured, some of those with life-threatening injuries. The shooter is still at large.
Michigan State is my dad's alma mater, and he grew up in Lansing (born in New York state). I briefly considered MSU when I was thinking about college back in high school. I settled on Colorado State because it was close to home, but I think Dad would have been proud if I'd gone to MSU (despite the out of state tution!)!
ETA- Shooter killed himself when the police caught up with him. The dead and injured were all students. The shooter had no connection to MSU.
