My first week of my food and exercise journal just happened to be the week of St. Patrick's Day. LOL! My family had the usual corned beef and cabbage dinner, with my soda bread. I did really well with portion size and balancing proteins and carbs, etc. But look what Katie brought to dinner- Krispy Kreme donuts in St. Patrick's Day designs!

I was good. We each got three, and I ate one each day. No overindulgence, but no denying myself, either. One thing I'm learning from blogs through my online tracker is there is no bad food, and to not beat myself up if I go over my total calorie goals. This isn't a diet- it's changing eating habits. So far, it's working. I've lost five pounds this week!
First day of spring was also the first time there was choir at church! Okay, all we did was lead the hymns, but we are going to do anthems for Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter. Katie is leading us until we get a new director/organist.
I spent the afternoon at Katie's because we took part in a Ukrainian cooking class online. She and Mom cooked, I mainly did prep. We took Maisie for a long walk. Katie has had her house and property for over twenty years, and I never knew it had a little creek!

Maisie is growing up so fast! Katie got her DNA results back. Miss Puppy has a lot of different dog breeds in her ancestry!

Not surprised about the chihuahua, beagle, or terrier, but miniature schnauzer came from nowhere! And not a drop of dachshund, either.
