PBS is ending Arthur after 25 years. My nephew was four when it first aired and he's almost thirty now! He dressed as Arthur for Halloween in first grade. And he played that damned CD incessantly for about a year. Crazy bus! Crazy bus! Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card! And of course...CAUSE I WAS JECKYL JECKYL HYDE JECKYL HYDE HYDE JECKYL.
And everyone knew Mr. Ratburn was gay. The wedding just confirmed it! Gay rats rights!
Of course, they're just not making new episodes. There are enough to air over and over forever. It's the third longest running PBS kid's show behind Sesame Street and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, and just ahead of Reading Rainbow.
Speaking of Reading Rainbow, LeVar Burton just wrapped up his week guest hosting Jeopardy. I think he did a great job. Still hoping he returns as Geordi LaForge on Picard. Not happening in season two, I don't think.
My birthday is Monday, but since Katie won't be here and I'll be at her house, we're celebrating tomorrow. I want to go to Can Can in Richmond, but it will have to wait until next week. At least I'm getting some of my presents tomorrow! A couple of things were delayed. And I'm anxiously awaiting my AG rewards- I should be getting a $40 off coupon. I want to get Courtney's beanbag chair and T.V./VCR!
