My hernia repair surgery was Friday. It lasted almost seven hours. No problem with the surgery itself, but early the next morning, I had almost non-stop vomiting. I'm attached to a machine that is sucking all of the bad crap out of my stomach (at this point it's mostly bile, yuck) and also have a PICC line for nutrition. I should have been able to go home yesterday, but I'm stuck here. I have to have additional surgery tomorrow to hopefully fix what's gone wrong. It won't take as long as the original surgery. I may not go home until Saturday.
I'm not in any pain, but I am uncomfortable and bored. It's hard to sleep.
