Round two of chemo is done! It went very well today. Almost no pain or discomfort- except for a bit of trouble setting up the port, an extra hour of pre-chemo meds, restless legs and feet, and a brief hot flash early in the Taxol infusion. That freaked my mom out more than me. Also, I had to pee a lot. I was given more saline solution than usual. I had to get up six times! The extra walking helped a lot.
I was in a private room today, with a bed instead of a reclining chair. Very comfortable and good for naps. Mom and I watched MSNBC the entire time, so we saw the news that Rosanne Barr's "Rosanne" reboot had been cancelled because of her vile racist rants. Mom and my nurse cheered, and I almost jumped out of bed to do a happy dance, I.V. pole be damned. I'm not happy that her cast and crew are out of work, but she is trash and always has been. She went too far. Even some pundits on Fox called her out.
I really did okay today. Dad brought us Wendy's for lunch, and I ate everything, including a large Frosty which really made me feel better. In between naps and watching the news, I did some coloring and started a cross stitch kit.
I felt fine but looked a bit off. I didn't bother with makeup.
Some pictures:
Brought Miss Mousie for support.
The growing bald spot. One friend told me I'll look badass once totally bald.
The coloring page I did today. Coloring keeps me sane.
I finished this cross stitch yesterday and started a similar one today.
