I was in hell for about two hours after breakfast. Then I took a short, warm shower and started to feel better. Next I started Googling "things they don't tell you about chemo", and learned about the phenomenon of "chemo farts". I read through a few blogs about patient experiences, and could not stop laughing! Incredibly, the pain in my legs went away. Laughter is the best medicine. That's how I'll get through this.
We took Mom to her favorite Chinese place for Mother's Day lunch. I wasn't hungry, but I ordered hot and sour soup. It triggered my appetite and I ate a decent sized meal. I think Mom was happier with me eating than getting her presents! She had a good day. It was nice to get out for a couple of hours, but I got tired and totally crashed once I got home. The leg pain is creeping back, but it's not as bad as it was.
