I now have a port in my chest. It will make getting chemo so much easier. Much better than having to be stuck over and over again in search of a good vein every damn round!
Like with the colonoscopy, I got a nice nap. This time, they didn't wake me right away, so I was well rested and not groggy. I was sore, but felt great! I was good enough to go have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, then some shopping at Macy's. Mom and I had fun and bought some great stuff.
The day has caught up with me, though. The painkillers have worn off, and though it's nowhere near as bad as the pain from the hysterectomy, I still need to take Percoset. I can barely feel the port, but my shoulder and upper arm ache like I've been throwing softballs all day.
