I've spent five full days in the hospital, but tomorrow, I'll be free! The surgeon is waiting for the pathologist's report so we can decide on my course of treatment. He thinks everything looks good so far. I've spent the week slowly eating again and walking as much as possible. Today I had a blood transfusion because I was so anemic. I look and feel better now. When Katie saw me tonight she said "I've got my little sister back!"
Thank God for my mom. I really don't think I would have made it this far without her. She's stayed with me every night, sometimes just holding my hand.
