There was a big snowstorm last week. The snow ended up as ice. We're just now digging out. I slipped and fell hard while helping clear the ice from the driveway. Ten hours later I'm still in terrible pain and can't sleep. Nothing broken, though. I had to stop working outside and rest my leg, which has an enormous lump and bruise. Thank God the neighbors helped finish the job. I'll have to bake a cake for them when I'm feeling better!
In other news, I am probably going to get another cat this spring. I miss being a cat mom. Mom and Dad miss being cat grandparents. The family seems so empty without Rory. Having Maisie around helps, but it's not the same! One, she's a dog. Two, she belongs to Katie!
I hope I can actually get out soon. I'm getting cabin fever.
