A very small but nice Thanksgiving. Just Mom and Dad, me and Katie. And Rory, of course. The day started with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the National Dog Show on T.V., then listening to the Commanders/Cowboys game as we finished cooking/eating dinner. The Commanders were humiliated. Ugh.
Despite only having four people (with a vegetarian mom), there was a nice variety of dishes. The turkey and ham were already cooked, and the sides were fairly simple. I made the dressing and pineapple au gratin like I always do. I only made one pie, a chess pie. Mom bought a pecan pie. All the food was wonderful, but we were tired. I miss big family gatherings, but Mom really can't do it anymore.
Photos- the dinner table and flowers for Mom.
Rory joined us for dessert. He loves Reddi Whip, so I gave him a small amount on a china plate!
Finally, my adorable doll set-up. I found cute Thanksgiving outfits for Briony and Willa, and put together a "kid's table". I found a tiny Spode fall tea set (actually ornaments), and doll sized slices of pumpkin pie!
Tomorrow, I'll start setting up the Christmas trees!
