Oh, Shenandoah...

Had a lovely day in the mountains with Dad and Uncle John. We stopped at an orchard and bought apples, pears, and decorative pumpkins. Then we had a late lunch in Sperryville. It was the same place Dad and I went to a couple of years ago, but with new owners and a new name. The food was still very good, though. We spent almost two hours on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. It was a beautiful fall day, and the colors were near peak change.

I took Nicki with me for her first outing.

A few photos- Nicki with apples and pumpkins, the orchard and pumpkin patch. Many photos from Skyline Drive.

I did okay with the trip, though I got very car sick on the ride home. I was also tired and my middle hurt a lot. I felt really bad the next day and had to stay in bed most of the time. I was pretty frustrated with myself for having a setback. Tomorrow marks four weeks post surgery. Supposedly, I'm halfway through my recovery. It feels like I'm behind a bit. I'm walking more and eating small meals. I'm doing what I'm supposed to. I just have to be patient. I got wiped out after a Target run today. Mom wants me to wait one more week before going back to church. I think she's right.
