This doctored photo of the Capitol is going around- comparing the election with electing a Pope. Funny but a bit scary, considering that yesterday was the second anniversary of the Capitol siege.

Movie and sports news- Jeremy Renner seems to be doing well, though he spent his birthday today still in the ICU. He praised the staff and thanked his fans on Instagram. In sports, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin continues to make a miraculous recovery after his heart stopped on the field last week. Breathing on his own and talking to his teammates. That was one of the scariest things I've ever seen in football. The game was stopped and won't be rescheduled.
What a week in politics and entertainment. I can't stand McCarthy, but at least Congress can finally get down to business. And thanks to modern medicine, two people who really should be dead are recovering, though I doubt Hamlin will ever play again, and it will be a long time before Renner is back in front of the camera.
