Last Friday Mom, Dad, and I joined Katie for dinner and then an "Art Walk" in Colonial Beach. It was a very nice evening weather-wise, and we got to see some good local art, including photography from a member of our church. We also briefly went to the beach to take photos. I took Maritza with me for her first adventure!

Katie's birthday was today, and we had dinner at the same tapas place as last year. It was even better this time. Everyone tried new things along with favorites from previous dinners. Katie loved her presents, including a cross stitch piece I did, and of course I made a chocolate cake.

Now that the weather is cooling down a bit, we might go to Richmond and see Maymont. I want to do a beach day at Colonial Beach before it really gets cool. Kids are back in school now, so it might not be crowded. Still planning a New York trip soon. Mom and Dad are going to Louisville in October for her twice delayed high school reunion.
