Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary is this Thursday. Katie and I held a reception for them after church on Sunday. We spent part of Saturday decorating and cooking, and her in-laws also helped. There was a great turnout, and Mom and Dad were thrilled! Katie and I sang a hymn from their wedding. Mom actually cried.
Some photos- Beautiful flowers that Katie ordered. Big spread of appetizers, including country ham, pimento cheese, and Benedictine sandwiches. My cakes, including a "wedding" cake. Mom also made a rum cake. Little bride and groom bears from Katie's wedding, plus my VIB bears (actually a bride and her father, not bride and groom). Katie designed an anniversary plate, and I did a shadow box and a Shutterfly book of wedding and family photos. The book was a hit with the guests! Mom and Dad cut the cake.

but it fits. Katie and I went to an event at Ingleside Winery on Friday. We had a great time. There was live music and a food truck that had one of the best burgers either of us had ever eaten! Almost everywhere in Virginia there are "Love" signs, and this is Ingleside's.

Finally, not related to the reception, Makena's pink jogger arrived! She is so adorable.
