It was a short trip, but it was nice to get away. There were a couple of problems with the hotel. It wasn't quite as nice as expected, but my bed was comfortable, the main restaurant had good food, and the pools were great. We got a room with a balcony and a beach view!

I spent a lot of time on the beach and pier. It was fun to watch the waves hitting the beach, and seeing fishermen reeling in their catches. Mom and I saw jellies washing up while we waded in the surf (too cold to swim). Also saw a lot of birds, but no dolphins. Probably too cold near the shore this time of year!

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Hard Rock Cafe. The Boardwalk is a mix of tacky tourist traps and nice parks and restaurants. We didn't have time to go on the Skywheel. Hard Rock Cafe was fun.
