Four years ago today, I went in for surgery to remove what was thought to be an ovarian cyst, and woke up to the news that it was ovarian cancer and I'd had a total hysterectomy. Six days in the hospital, and six rounds of chemo over the summer, and by October I was in remission. It was stage 1c, so I was very lucky. It's rarely caught that early.
Four years later, still no sign of cancer! My oncologist thinks in one more year, I will have beaten it.
