The French Dispatch is wonderful. It's the usual mix from director Wes Anderson- quirky characters, bizarre situations, colorful set pieces, and a bunch of great actors. This one is a love letter to literary magazines and newspapers. There are four separate stories forming what becomes the final edition. It's weird, wonderful, and often hilarious. It won't replace The Grand Budapest Hotel as my favorite Anderson film, but it comes close. The usual bunch of actors show up- Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Saorise Ronan, and Edward Norton, with the addition of Jeffrey Wright and Liev Schreiber. No Jeff Goldblum this time, which was odd!

I'll finally see The Eternals Sunday. The previews looked good- Ghostbusters Afterlife opens next week, so I'll see it then. Also coming- Steven Spielberg's take on West Side Story (it looks fantastic!) and Will Smith in King Richard- about Serena and Venus Williams' dad. It's so nice to go to the movie theater again- last movie I saw in the theater was Little Women in January 2020!

Mom and Katie and I made a whole day of going to Potomac Mills- movie, shopping, and dinner at Cheesecake Factory. It was a nice girls day out. It's been so long since we've had one!
