Curse of the Ebony Blade number 5 came out today. Plot summary- Dane nearly dies after a battle with Modred. Meanwhile, the young student, Jackie "Jacks" Chopra, he'd hired took over the Ebony Blade, and to her surprise, she's suddenly the Black Knight. The dying Dane confesses that he had a daughter that he only recently learned about, and guess who she is? Because the bloodline has been continued, Dane survives and he and his newfound daughter defeat Modred. Though she's a little confused by everything, Jacks accepts that Dane is her father and that they will share the burden of the Ebony Blade.
I saw the twist of a secret daughter almost as soon as Jacks was introduced in issue 1! I'm glad that the Black Knight will be back- and he doesn't have to fight alone anymore. I kinda rolled my eyes at Modred as the villain again, but oh, well.
