Yesterday was the Lunar New Year, or Chinese New Year. Happy Year of the Ox! Hopefully, it will be better than the Year of the Rat.
Speaking of rats, our former asshole President was acquitted again. Ugh. At least this time seven Republicans joined in voting to convict. So basically, it's now okay for a sitting/outgoing President to encourage an assault on the Capitol. And throw his Vice-President under the bus at the same time. That mob really wanted to hang Pence.
I may be getting the COVID-19 vaccination next week. I have an appointment on Tuesday. Just waiting for final confirmation (in case they decide I don't qualify for this round). I hope they don't change their minds! Still wearing my mask everywhere and practicing social distancing. I've hardly seen anyone outside of my family bubble in months.
Katie came over on Friday, and Mom ordered take out from our favorite Chinese restaurant. Ivy approved of their dumplings, and hopes everyone has a happy new year!
