It's here! Merry Christmas, everyone!
It was an unusual Christmas Eve thanks to COVID-19. Church was online, of course. Dinner was takeout from Red Lobster. No big family gathering, just Mom, Dad, Katie, me, plus Katie's friend Regi. Mom made a killer trifle for dessert.
There was bad news tonight, though. Katie's sister-in-law, Maryellen, has COVID. Her husband probably does, too. Maryellen works in an assisted living home, and one of her coworkers caught COVID and died. It pisses me off that some people still think it's a hoax.
After lunch, we Face-timed with Sam and his new girlfriend. It was nice to "meet" her.
Katie and I are both exhausted. She did fine with her latest round of chemo. She's very tired, but we worked pretty hard to get the house decorated. We didn't put up her big tree, but everything lookz like Christmas!
