Katie had a really rough time with this chemo session. Besides her trip to the hospital on Election Night, she's just been tired and weak. She was supposed to start her weekly (for 12 weeks) Taxol sessions last Friday, but the nurse said her blood counts were too low. She starts on Wednesday instead, so she got a bit of a break.
She's feeling better, so I'm going home for a few days until the next chemo session. Good thing, because I need to start getting ready for Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, our church held the service of Nine Lessons and Carols a whole month early! We had to do it outside, so it had to happen while the weather is still somewhat warm. Maybe we'll get lucky and it will be warm on Christmas Eve. I hate the idea of not having a Christmas Eve service at church. If the weather is nice, we can do it outside! Two of the last three Christmas Eves in Virginia had temperatures in the 70s- even at midnight! Covid-19 has ruined everything.
Carol service- drive-thru style.
Katie has been feeling well enough to do a lot of her crafts. She ordered a bunch of scrapbook paper pads, and we had a great time going through them. I've done a lot of cross stitch, including five ornaments. This one is my favorite:
It's a quote from Elf.
Giada has been a very good dog. She seems to understand that her mommy is sick. Rory knew that I was sick two years ago. Pets just know!
